The Royal High School Boarding House was provided to enable parents from outside Edinburgh to send their boys to the Royal High. In measures it was loved or hated but it was for much of our early lives our home.

When the school moved from the Carlton Hill site to Barnton most of the records and artefacts were lost. The school Boarding House was closed and all the records and bits and pieces seem to have been disposed of.

When Chris Brangwin and Douglas Telford went back to have a look at the old school and the Boarding House it was decided that we would try to offer a central point where contacts could be gathered and some of the information that is still in peoples memories saved.
